On Behalf of our client, a well-known 5* hotel in the German part of Switzerland we're looking for a:

Director of Finance

Main responsibilities:

• Responsibility for all financial matters of 2 hotels
• Supervision of the areas of finance, purchasing and warehouse management
• Management of internal (controlling) and external accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, dunning and payment management, cash management and sales control
• Monitoring and evaluation of monthly and annual inventories
• Creation, evaluation and analysis of monthly financial statements according to Uniform System of Account
• Presentation of the monthly financial statements to the management and the department heads of the hotels in German and English
• Preparation of the 10-year forecast and the annual budget including monitoring of compliance with costs
• Responsibility for the basis of a meaningful balance sheet as well as for the profit and loss account and its analysis
• Advance VAT returns
• Preparation of annual financial statements and contact persons for tax consultants and auditors
• Leadership, motivation and development of the team as well as design of a clean service & holiday planning, tailored to both companies, as well as correct recording of the corresponding onward billing
• Continuous optimization and monitoring of the specified internal standards
• Preparation of the cash flow forecast as well as planning, administration and control of cash flows and cash funds
• Monitoring of the ancillary cost accounting of the unit owners as well as control of the sales accounting of their
• Compliance with the respective hotel-specific standards and quality management of The Chedi Andermatt
• Member of the Quality Team to ensure and further develop the maintenance of internal standards in accordance with ISO

Main requirements:

• Commercial training as well as Swiss Federal Certificate Certificate of Finance and Accounting / Fiduciary Or Similar Continuing Education Certificate
• Balance sheet and financial statements secure
• Understanding numbers
• Knowledge of opera, Sun, Mirus and Billbox systems
• German and English fluent, other languages are an advantage
• Accurate and responsible way of working and several years of industry experience in the same position
• Experience in the hotel industry
• Leadership qualities
