Reed Hammersmith are currently working with an “Outstanding” School in the Brent borough.

For an immediate start, the school are looking for a passionate AV Technician to become an integral part of their Performing Arts Department.

The Role:
As an AV Technician, you will be asked to support the development of the Visual and Performing Arts specialism across the school by providing assistance and expertise to the Performing Arts Department, staff and students.

Responsibilities include:
• Managing production for school events and performances, including set design/construction, lighting design, sound design, operation of lighting, sound desks and rigging of lights
• Producing promotional/information films and images for the school
• Designing and printing posters, wall charts and banners
• Providing technical support and expertise to students and staff

The Person:
• The successful candidate will have a strong grasp of Arts and Media processes with a good working knowledge of IT, and should be comfortable operating lighting and sound equipment
• Experience with photography and computer aided editing software would be advantageous
• The successful candidate will be dealing with a wide variety of people at all levels, so candidates must be effective communicators, with strong interpersonal skills, flexible, adaptable and have a willingness to work as part of a team.
