I am currently recruiting for a fluent French speaking HR Officer for a world-leading research organisation based in Guildford, Surrey. If successful, you will join an employee body of over 1300 people across more than 20 countries known for their innovation, analytical skills and deep industry expertise.

This role is a 16 month fixed-term contract that has arisen to cover a maternity leave. The purpose of the position is to provide generalist HR support to France, Spain and Italy. As the HR Officer you will report to the Chief HR Officer. Fluency in French is a necessity for those applying for this position. It will also require monthly travel to Paris and occasional travel to other countries may be required.

Duties:
- Work with Senior Managers to understand their hiring needs. Ensure that all hiring decisions conform with agreed budget and compensation parameters
- Maintaining hiring tracker and provide hiring forecast information to the Chief HR Officer and Finance Team
- Ensure SOX compliance by obtaining appropriate approvals for new hires and contractors
- Review and authorise the release of new hire offer/letters and contracts, as well as sub-contractor SOWs and agreements
- Organise one-to-one HR inductions with new hires and help with the delivery of the quarterly EMEA Onboarding Programme
- Carry out exit interviews and ensure that leavers fully understand the exit process
- Be the first point of contact for People Managers and employees regarding all employee relations matters
- Manage the French training budget
- Organise training courses and maintain training records
- Provide HR metrics to the management teams when required for example annual leave, compensation analyses etc.
- Provide advice to People Managers regarding performance issues when appropriate
- Support Senior Managers in the annual merit increase and bonus award processes
- Support the Payroll Specialist with the submission of annual French declarations
- Facilitate the monthly Employee Representatives meeting for the French divisions of the company
- Action any contract changes

Personal requirements:
- You must be fluent in French; language skills in Italian or Spanish would be an advantage
- Previous European experience in a HR role, ideally within the professional services industry
- CIPD qualified to level 5 and/or certification(s) in European HR is a great advantage
- Good IT skills (MS Office)
