About the Role

Our client L3 Harris, is a global leader in aerospace and defense technology, are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to join their growing management team in the new Katowice operation. This exciting start-up venture offers a unique opportunity to be part of a truly international company and be part of the team establishing its new division here in Poland. You will be responsible for driving the production of cutting-edge optical devices for both civil and military applications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the entire production process of optical devices, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement production schedules, policies, and procedures to meet the company’s production goals and customer requirements.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational certifications and quality standards for both civil and military products.
  • Coordinate with other departments, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation to achieve financial targets.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety standards and protocols.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing, ideally with a background in electronic or electrical products and their assembly and testing.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and training technical teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of production management, quality control, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, international environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for both civil aviation would be a bonus
  • Excellent command of Polish language C2 and English C1 are mandatory for this role.
