Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable International Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our client's team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our international business initiatives align with European regulations. You will be responsible for preparing agreements, interpreting governmental responses, and providing guidance to stakeholders. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining relations with government licensing authorities and analyzing business initiatives to ensure compliant execution. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and implementation of policies, conduct training sessions, and support internal and external audits to ensure adherence to federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare agreements that adhere to European regulations in support of international business initiatives, including employment of foreign individuals, manufacturing abroad, and partnerships with foreign entities.
  • Interpret governmental responses and provide clear guidance to stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with government licensing authorities to effectively communicate the company's licensing and technology stance, ensuring mutual understanding and acceptance.
  • Analyze proposed business initiatives in relation to regulatory requirements and offer expert advice to divisional management to ensure compliant execution of activities.
  • Lead training sessions for employees, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that foster compliance with federal regulations.
  • Conduct audits of internal controls and procedures by meticulously examining artifacts, ensuring that transactions are carried out in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide support during external audits and inquiries initiated by European governmental agencies by facilitating data collection and executing corrective actions.
  • Utilize technical jurisdictional analysis to influence product development decisions, ensuring alignment with compliant business strategies

Desired Education and Experiences

  • Proficient knowledge of the job area, demonstrating a solid understanding of international regulatory compliance
  • Practical knowledge of project management principles.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant prior experience in international regulatory compliance.
  • In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of relevant prior experience, highlighting substantial hands-on experience.
