Our client is a dynamic international company that is expanding its presence in Katowice, Poland. We are a global leader and are committed to delivering excellence in all aspects of our business. As we embark on this exciting new journey, we are seeking a dedicated Finance Accountant to join our team and manage the financial accounting needs of our Katowice operation.


Position Overview
As a Finance Accountant, you will play a crucial role in establishing and managing the financial operations of our new Katowice office. This position requires an individual who is well-versed in financial accounting, payroll, accounts payable, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting. Additionally, you will need a deep understanding of the Polish VAT and taxation systems, as you will be responsible for preparing Financial Statements.


Key Responsibilities


Financial Accounting

• Manage day-to-day financial accounting activities for the Katowice operation.
• Ensure accurate and timely input of invoices into the accounting system.
• Maintain financial records and ledgers.


Payroll Administration
• Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees.


Accounts Payable Management
• Monitor accounts payable processes and payment schedules.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve any payment-related issues.


Budgeting and Cash Flow Forecasting
• Develop and maintain budgets for the Katowice office.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts to support financial planning.


Polish VAT and Taxation
• Ensure compliance with Polish VAT and taxation regulations.
• Prepare and submit necessary tax filings.


Financial Statements
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards (US GAP)


Presentations
• Deliver financial presentations to colleagues and peers.
• Communicate financial insights and updates effectively.


Language Skills
• Fluent in both English and Polish, as you will interact with colleagues based worldwide.

Qualifications


• A formal accountancy qualification or current enrollment in an accountancy qualification program is a strong asset.
• Proven experience in financial accounting and related responsibilities.
• In-depth knowledge of the Polish VAT and taxation systems.
• Strong proficiency in financial software and accounting tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
