Job Title: Business Manager – Austria

Location: Austria, Vienna (must speak German and English)
Contract Type: Permanent
Start Date: 1st August 2025

Salary Package:

  • Base Salary: Up to 365 000 PLN  gross per annum

  • Bonus: Discretionary (up to 20% of base salary)

  • Car Allowance: 10% of base salary

Role Overview:

The Business Manager for Austria will be responsible for overseeing and managing the commercial, operational, and financial performance of the Austrian market. This role involves developing and executing strategic plans, driving sales growth, managing key client relationships, ensuring operational excellence, and leading a local team. The role requires fluency in German and English and a deep understanding of the Austrian business landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Sales:

    • Drive growth strategies to expand market share in Austria.

    • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships.

    • Manage key client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Operational Management:

    • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and service excellence.

    • Monitor operational KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Financial Management:

    • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.

    • Achieve revenue targets, control costs, and maximize profitability.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team.

    • Set clear objectives, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing coaching.

  • Strategy Implementation:

    • Develop and execute the local business strategy aligned with corporate goals.

    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt strategies accordingly.

  • Compliance & Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and internal policies.

    • Manage risks effectively to protect the business.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Fluent in German (C1/C2 level) and English (professional proficiency).

  • Proven experience in a similar business management or senior leadership role, preferably within Austria.

  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue growth and profitability.

  • Experience in managing budgets, P&L responsibility, and operational processes.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and lead change.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).

  • Any additional certifications in leadership, finance, or operational management are desirable.
